PROPRIOCEPTIVE DEEP TENDON REFLEX (P-DTR)
Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR) is the latest and most advanced modality used to address a wide range of functional problems such as the musculoskeletal, hormonal, gastrointestinal, chemical and emotional dysfunctions effectively. This technique is based on the understanding of various sensory receptors of the body and the Central Nervous System.

Sensory Motor Loop
The Sensory Motor Loop, describes how the body collects information from different general and specialized receptors, process this information and issue the appropriate motor control output. It is described as a loop as the cycle is continuously updated / refreshed throughout life.
Sensory Receptors
Sensory receptors for light, sound, pain, stretch, pressure, hot, cold and vibration receive data from the environment that we encounter. These data will be passed on to the central nervous system.
Central Nervous System
When the brain receives the data from the sensory receptors, it processes and interprets all input to modulate our movement decisions.

If the sensory system is compromised, all of the sensory information to the brain becomes incorrect. This can result in faulty movements and pain. The body adopts functional or dysfunctional compensations to allow you to continue with your daily functions.

The P-DTR treatment works to correct dysfunctions by addressing the sensory inputs source. This allows the central nervous system to interpret the stimulus appropriately so optimal output with desirable movement can be restored. P-DTR can be applied to chronic conditions to create substantial pain relief, restore optimal range of motion and modulate movement to the conditions of the external environment.
